Hey, it was either this, or One More Time. Just sayin'.
Internets, you may recall my having mentioned my good buddy/soul sister kaze_neko once or quintuple times. That's mainly because she is made of awesome and ginger snaps (well, at least the awesome part, anyway,) and further evidence of her awesomeness is that she's got a blog of her own about music. And since I get my inspiration from the folks around me and stuff, I figured I'd follow her cue and do a music-inspired post.
Now, originally I was going to post stuff with violins, guitars, piano keys and things of that nature, but that was before I found what pretty much makes up today's post. And once you see it, I think you'll understand why:
Yes, Internets--this is a functional and wearable replica of a Daft Punk helmet. Nothin' against stringed instruments at all, but they just can't compete with this bit of helmet win.
And just because I'll feel lazy if I don't at least post one other thing, here's another Daft Punk helmet from the same shop:
Mind you, I didn't see Tron: Legacy (or the original Tron, for that matter,) but if I had to choose somebody to create the score for a movie based on being stuck in a virtual world, I'd go with the guys who are known for the best robotic helmets in the music biz. And if I were to win the lottery tomorrow, my one extravagant purchase would be from The Grid.
Oh, and did you see where I linked to Kaze's blog near the top of the post? That was a subtle hint, in case you missed it.
