By The Trunk

I like how the tree in this watercolor print is asymmetrical.  Because honestly, how many
symmetrical trees have you ever seen in your life?  My bet is that the answer is "not a lot."

Unless the calendar is lying to me, today is Arbor Day here in the States. Which means that not only is today a day where we are all encouraged to plant, care and educate about the importance of trees to our environment (which isn't a bad thing, honestly,) but I now finally have an extremely-tenuous-yet-still-somewhat-justifiable reason to post this hat:

No, your eyes are not playing tricks on you--that is a hat fashioned in the likeness of top-notch adventurer Tree Trunks from Adventure Time.  Because dang it, I like Tree Trunks and there aren't a whole lot of elephant-themed hats out there, not to mention the fact that I couldn't seem to find any tree-themed hats that I hadn't already posted once before.  So you know what?  It's getting a post all to itself, and all I have to say about that is this:

Oh, and Happy Arbor Day.  See you next week!

  1. Hi,
My name is Ben Livingston. My mother, Polly Lou Livingston, is the voice of beloved Tree Trunks. I llove your Tree Trunks hat. I know she would too. Would you be willing to make her one for her birthday?

if so, I'd like to know please.

    Thanks!

    1. I would love to do that for you, except that I didn't make the hat pictured in the first place; that credit belongs to Hannah Brill at the Etsy store Sticker Depot, who I linked to in the post. Any hat that I would make would be the exact opposite of awesome, so I just stick to writing about them It works out better for everyone concerned.

But I would suggest dropping Ms. Brill a line and seeing what could be done about a hat for your mom. I can't speak for Ms. Brill, but at least that'll get you headed in the right direction. Good luck!
