Fragaria x ananassa + Cream

True facts:  If  I were left alone with the subject matter in this print, it would be all gone by the time
the photographer returned.  This may or may not include the crate.  Depends on how hungry I am.

Internets, I think we can all agree that one of the worst things in the world is an unfulfilled craving.  You know, when you suddenly get deep and urgent desire for a specific something but for whatever reason you can't have it, so all you're left with is a taste in your mouth that nothing else is going to even begin to compare with.

For instance, I am having a serious craving right now, and it is for fresh strawberries.  Which stinks, as that there are no strawberries on hand in order to satiate my hankering, fresh or otherwise.  So I am going to do the next best thing to having strawberries, and that is convert my unresolved longing for strawberries and turn it into a post for today, like thus:

For such a simple fascinator, it looks deliciously decadent, doesn't it?  I'm thinking that's probably because the base looks like dark chocolate, and chocolate added to anything is generally a big improvement .

Well, maybe not anything--chocolate-covered fish sticks probably aren't any good.  But for the most part, I'm still right.

Of course--just as the only thing better than a fresh strawberry is more fresh strawberries--why settle for just a lone strawberry on your fascinator when you can have a whole saucerful of strawberries perched on your pate?

Considering that the boho headband still seems to be all the rage, it only makes sense to share one that features not only strawberries, but strawberry blossoms, too.  Because hey--this blog can be trendy every once in a while.

And because I like to wrap things up on an awesome note, here's a strawberry shortcake pillbox hat:

And now I'm even more in the mood for a strawberry than before.  Poop.

See you next week!
