Salute The Flag

Nothing says "Fourth of July" quite like a mosaic of the American flag made out of beer bottle caps.
You can argue against that all you want, but I'm still going to be right.  Just sayin'.

Well, Internets, it's the Independence Day, which means that you get to kick back, watch a parade or two, eat some barbecued food and set off fireworks as soon as it gets dark enough.  That is, if you're an American; if you're from any of the other 194-196 countries in the world, then it's just Wednesday.   But seeing as I'm an American on top of being a blogger of hats, that means I'm going to send up this most federal of federal holidays the only way I can--by posting headgear themed with the good 'ol stars and stripes, starting with this right here:

And as an added geeky bonus, it was inspired by one of the characters from Hetalia: Axis Powers.  However, if you have to guess which one, I will not hesitate to give you a funny look.

Note:  I have noticed an influx of turban headbands over at Etsy this summer, so I'm wondering; are they the new hotness?   I mean, not that it matters, because I really don't post headbands all that terribly often (unless I find an appropriately-themed one like the one above,) but it does make me wonder.

And speaking of headbands, here are two patriotic headbands that just so happen to be 25% off.  Because nothing says "American" like getting a good deal.

And you can have your choice of a headband of Old Glory rosettes with feathers...

...Or just a ginormous star-spangled rose headband.   Either way, you'll still look patriotic like whoa.

And finally, just because July 4th tends to involve spending an awful lot of time out in the sun, here's a pair of bedazzled cat-eye sunglasses:

Because even if it's too hot to wear any of the headgear above, you can still show your love of this wacky little country we call home while protecting your eyes from the sun.

And on that note, Happy Independence Day to my fellow Americans, and for everyone else, may your Wednesday be devoid of suck.

Oh, and see you Friday!
